"I was surprised how comfortable the boots are,but being Chelsea boots they normally are, however this is my first Ecco brand in use and to be honest I have no idea why they are so expensive compared with big names like Russell Bromley,Locke,Kurt Geiger, R.M. Williams,John Lobb...all of which are welted with leather sole and also very comfortable as expected.Ecco Vitrus 2 are glued, which take some of the appeal straight away and making them look cheap and unbranded. So far my my opinion is that they shouldn’t cost anything above £70 on daily bases in order to be affordable but as I see most shops selling them for up to £135-£175 ,this simply putting them in an other category and a level which Ecco as a brand can not dream of going into as people with such budget will prefer the names of the big brands like the once mentioned in the beginning of the review. In a nut shell Ecco is comfortable shoe brand but it should not be expensive and rated as a ,,High end “ ,,High street” brand, but as like Volkswagen they should be for the people not for the posh.
I think in the future I will stick with other brands as for the money Ecco do not offer the heritage, the history behind the shoemaking and the look ..."
